Humans have always been very curious about immortality and we have been trying to avoid death since the beginning of time but this time we are very close to achieve immortality, as close that we might achieve it in next 30 years.
Russian Billionaire Dmitry Itskov in February 2011, Founded a non-profit organisation ” 2045 Initiative “.
The aim of this organisation is to upload an artificial copy of human brain to a non-biological machine (Humanoid Robots), so as to achieve immortality. The ultimate goal of this initiative is to create holographic bodies.
The Program has a road-map of developing cybernetic immortality (Immortality with the help of computers).

Avatar A   (Estimated between 2015-2020 ) :  A Robotic copy of human body that can understand commands directly from human mind.
Avatar B  (Estimated between 2020-2025 ) :  An Avatar (Artificial body) in which a human brain can be transplanted after one’s death.
Avatar C  (Estimated between 2025-2035 ) :  An avatar with an artificial brain in which a human personality can be transferred at the end of one’s life. The first successful attempt to upload one’s personality to a computer is estimated to happen around 2035.
Avatar D  (Estimated in year 2045 ) :  To create a hologram like Avatar, This is the ultimate goal of this project but is optional since, assuming either the upload is involuntary or all humans chose to upload, biological diseases are prevented in the previous phase, and it is far away from current technological achievement and our understanding on physics.
Whatever be the dates or the goals but considering the project is heavily funded from all around the world and leading researchers are involved and the community is growing everyday, they might create a new era.
